Clock Patience is a unique solitaire variant played in a clock-like layout. Twelve columns of four cards each are arranged like the numbers on a clock, with a thirteenth pile in the center.
The goal is to reveal all cards by placing them in their corresponding clock positions. Ace goes to 1 o'clock, 2 goes to 2 o'clock, and so on. Queens go to 12 o'clock, and Kings go to the center pile.
The strategy is about choosing which card to play when multiple options are available. Since you can only play the top card of each pile, planning the order of plays is crucial.
Our RetroPlayNow version features a full 52-card deck and a scoring system that rewards efficient play. Every card revealed earns Retro Coins.
How to play Clock Patience
- Place cards in clock positions. Aces go to 1 o'clock, 2s to 2 o'clock, etc. Queens go to 12 o'clock, Kings to the center.
- Reveal top cards. Only the top card of each pile is playable. Revealing cards opens new options.
- Plan your moves. Choose which card to play when multiple options are available to keep the game going.
- Reveal all cards to win. The game is won when all cards are revealed and placed in their clock positions.
- Earn Retro Coins. Score points by revealing cards. More points mean more Retro Coins.
