Solitaire — the timeless Klondike classic — arrives on RetroPlayNow in its purest form. Seven tableau piles, four foundations, a stock and waste: 52 cards, one clear goal. Stack the foundations up by suit from Ace to King while building the tableau down by alternating colors.
Every deal is freshly shuffled and fully winnable with the right moves. Tap a card to select it, tap a destination to move it, or drag it across the board. Draw from the stock (1-card, infinite redeal), flip hidden cards when piles clear, and chase the satisfying moment when the last tableau card clicks into place.
Play with the mouse or entirely by keyboard, pause anytime, and race the clock. Fewer moves and less time means a higher score and more Retro Coins. No luck tricks, no paywalls — just pure card logic, perfect for a quick break or a deep, meditative session.
How to play Solitaire
- Deal and goal. Seven tableau piles are dealt (1 to 7 cards, last face-up). Build four foundations up by suit from Ace to King to win.
- Move on the tableau. Stack down by alternating colors (red on black, black on red) and descending rank. Kings start empty columns.
- Use stock and waste. Click the stock to draw one card to the waste. From waste you can play to tableau or foundations. When stock is empty it recycles.
- Play to foundations. Foundations build up by same suit from Ace to King. Double-click or tap a card to auto-send it when possible.
- Win clean for more points. Flip hidden cards as you clear them. Win faster with fewer moves for a higher score and more Retro Coins.

How do you play Klondike Solitaire?
Build tableau down by alternating colors, move Aces to foundations and stack up by suit to King. Use the stock/waste to find playable cards. Win when all four foundations are complete.
What are the valid moves?
Tableau: red on black, descending (e.g., 9♥ on 10♣, Q♦ on K♠). Foundations: same suit ascending from Ace. Kings can start empty tableau columns. Stock draws one card at a time.
Can I drag cards or just tap?
Both — drag cards or tap to select then tap a destination. Double-click a card to auto-move it to a foundation when possible. Keyboard arrows + Enter also work.
How is the score calculated?
Base 10,000 minus time (seconds) and moves. Finishing faster with fewer moves gives a higher score. Best time/score is saved per device.
Is there an undo or hint?
Use the Undo button to step back one move. If you're stuck, try moving Kings to empty columns or cycling the stock — every deal is winnable with the right sequence.
