Neon Swap is a match-3 puzzle in the classic candy-swap tradition: an 8x8 grid of glowing gems, a swap, and the satisfying cascade of falling jewels. The rules take five seconds to learn: select a gem, swap it with a neighbor, and any line of three or more matching gems explodes for points.
What makes the game sing is the chain reaction. When gems fall to fill the gaps, they can form new matches by themselves, and each cascade in the same move multiplies your points. A well-placed swap can trigger four or five falls in a row — that is where the big scores live.
You have 60 seconds per run. Every gem you clear is worth 10 points, lines of four pay a bonus, lines of five pay a huge one, and cascades multiply everything. The clock is the only opponent, and the final score is submitted to the RetroPlayNow leaderboard.
This RetroPlayNow version is built for touch and mouse alike: tap or click a gem to select it, then tap its neighbor to swap, or simply swipe in the direction you want to trade. On mobile it plays one-handed, and on desktop a quick mouse click is all it takes.

How to play Neon Swap
- Select and swap. Tap or click a gem to select it, then tap an adjacent gem to swap them. On mobile, swipe in the direction of the swap.
- Match three or more. Three or more gems of the same color in a row or column explode and score points. Longer lines pay bigger bonuses.
- Chain the cascades. Gems fall to fill the gaps and can form new matches on their own. Each cascade in the same move multiplies your points.
- Beat the clock. You have 60 seconds per run. Prioritize the swaps that create cascades — they score far more than single matches.
- Earn Retro Coins. When the timer ends, your score is submitted automatically. The platform converts 100 points into 1 Retro Coin.
