Masyu is one of the most visually elegant logic puzzles. A grid contains black and white pearls. Your task is to draw a single closed loop that passes through every pearl, following two beautiful rules.
Black pearls: the loop must turn at every black pearl. The loop makes a 90-degree turn as it passes through the pearl, and the two adjacent cells (before and after the turn) must be straight segments.
White pearls: the loop must go straight through every white pearl. The loop passes through the white pearl without turning, and the loop must turn in at least one of the cells immediately before or after the pearl.
The interplay between these two rules creates puzzles of remarkable depth. A white pearl near an edge forces the loop to run parallel to that edge (since it cannot turn at the pearl, it must turn before or after). Two adjacent black pearls force a specific S-shaped pattern.

How to play Masyu
- Pass through every pearl. Draw a single closed loop that visits every black and white pearl exactly once.
- Turn at black pearls. The loop must make a 90-degree turn at every black pearl. The segments before and after are straight.
- Go straight through white pearls. The loop passes through white pearls without turning, but must turn in at least one adjacent cell.
- Use edge constraints. A white pearl near an edge forces the loop to run parallel to that edge. Use this to find starting moves.
- Earn Retro Coins. Complete puzzles to score points based on size and solving time. Faster solutions earn more Retro Coins.
