Slitherlink, also known as Fences or Loop the Loop, is one of the purest logic puzzles ever devised. A grid of dots surrounds cells that may contain a number from 0 to 3. Your task is to connect adjacent dots with horizontal and vertical lines to form a single closed loop, such that each numbered cell has exactly that many of its four edges used by the loop.<\/p>\n

There are no colors to match, no arithmetic to perform, no words to guess. The entire puzzle is logic distilled to its essence. Every numbered cell is a clue, and every clue constrains its neighbors. A 3 in a corner almost forces the solution. Two 3s side by side create a recognizable pattern. A 0 means none of that cell’s edges can be used.<\/p>\n
