Golf Solitaire is a popular solitaire variant named after the golf scoring system \u2014 the fewer moves you make, the better your score. Seven columns of five cards each are laid out, with only the bottom card of each column uncovered.<\/p>\n

The goal is to clear all 35 cards by selecting any uncovered card that is one rank higher or lower than the top card of the waste pile. Aces wrap around to Kings and vice versa. When a column is completely cleared, it’s removed from play.<\/p>\n

The strategy is about choosing which column to play from. Some moves open up multiple new cards, while others might block access to a column entirely. The best players plan several moves ahead, keeping as many columns open as possible.<\/p>\n
