Battleships, also known as Solitaire Battleship, transforms the classic two-player guessing game into a solo logic puzzle. A grid hides a fleet of ships: one battleship (4 cells), two cruisers (3 cells each), three destroyers (2 cells each), and four submarines (1 cell each). Your task is to deduce exactly where every ship is located.<\/p>\n

The clues are the numbers along each row and column, telling you how many cells in that line contain ship segments. Combined with the known fleet composition, these numbers let you logically deduce every ship’s position without guessing.<\/p>\n

The solving techniques are deeply satisfying. A row with a 0 clue has no ships at all. A row with a clue equal to its width is completely full. If a partially revealed ship can only extend in one direction to satisfy its row and column counts, that extension is forced. Water marks (cells you know are empty) are as important as ship segments \u2014 they constrain the surrounding cells.<\/p>\n
