Takuzu, also known as Binairo, is proof that the deepest logic puzzles need only two symbols. You are given a grid where each cell must be filled with either a 0 or a 1. Three simple rules govern the solution, and from those rules emerges extraordinary depth.
Rule one: no more than two identical numbers may be adjacent. You can never have three 0s or three 1s in a row horizontally or vertically. Rule two: each row and column must contain an equal number of 0s and 1s. Rule three: no two rows and no two columns may be identical.
That is it. No arithmetic, no colors, no words. And yet Takuzu puzzles range from gentle warm-ups on 4x4 grids to brain-bending challenges on 12x12 and beyond. The constraints interact in beautiful ways: knowing that a row already has its full count of 1s forces every remaining cell to 0. Recognizing that placing a 1 would create three in a row forces a 0.

How to play Takuzu
- Fill with 0s and 1s. Tap empty cells to cycle between 0 and 1. Your goal is to fill every cell in the grid.
- No three in a row. Never place three identical numbers adjacent horizontally or vertically. Two is fine, three is forbidden.
- Equal counts per line. Each row and each column must contain exactly the same number of 0s and 1s.
- No duplicate lines. Every row must be different from every other row. Every column must be different from every other column.
- Earn Retro Coins. Complete puzzles to score points based on size and speed. Faster solutions earn more Retro Coins.
