Pyramid Solitaire is a classic solitaire variant that combines card matching with strategic planning. A pyramid of 28 cards is laid out with 7 rows, each card partially covered by the two cards below it.
The goal is to remove all cards from the pyramid by matching pairs that add up to 13. Kings are worth 13 and can be removed alone. Queens are 12, Jacks are 11, and number cards are face value. Only uncovered cards (with no cards on top of them) can be selected.
The challenge is planning ahead. Removing a pair that adds to 13 might uncover useful cards below, or it might block access to cards you need. The best players scan the entire pyramid before making moves, looking for chains of removals that open up the most options.

How to play Pyramid Solitaire
- Match cards to 13. Select two uncovered cards that add up to 13. Kings (13) can be removed alone.
- Uncover lower cards. Only cards with no cards on top of them can be selected. Remove upper cards to access lower ones.
- Use the draw pile. When no pyramid moves are available, draw from the stock pile to find matching cards.
- Clear the pyramid. Remove all 28 cards from the pyramid to win. Plan your moves to avoid getting stuck.
- Earn Retro Coins. Score points by removing cards. More points mean more Retro Coins.
