Fortress Solitaire is a unique solitaire variant with a fortress-shaped tableau. Ten tableau columns are arranged in a specific pattern, with the goal of building four foundation piles from Ace to King.
The tableau has a distinctive shape with longer columns on the sides and shorter columns in the middle. Cards can be moved between tableau columns in descending order and alternating colors. Only Kings can be placed in empty tableau columns.
The strategy involves using the longer side columns to store sequences while building on the shorter middle columns. Planning ahead is essential to avoid blocking access to key cards.

How to play Fortress Solitaire
- Build foundations. Build four foundation piles from Ace to King, one for each suit.
- Move tableau cards. Move cards between tableau columns in descending order and alternating colors.
- Use side columns. Longer side columns are useful for storing sequences. Use them strategically.
- Fill empty columns. Only Kings can be placed in empty tableau columns.
- Earn Retro Coins. Score points by placing cards on foundations. More points mean more Retro Coins.
