Beleaguered Castle is a classic solitaire variant where eight tableau columns are arranged like the walls of a fortress. The goal is to build four foundation piles from Ace to King.
Cards can be moved between tableau columns in descending order and alternating colors. Only the top card of each column is playable. There is no stock pile — all cards start on the tableau.
The strategy involves revealing face-down cards and building sequences to free up trapped cards. Since there's no stock pile, the game is won or lost based on the initial deal. Planning ahead is essential.

How to play Beleaguered Castle
- Build foundations. Build four foundation piles from Ace to King, one for each suit.
- Move tableau cards. Move cards between tableau columns in descending order and alternating colors.
- Reveal face-down cards. Moving cards reveals the face-down cards below them. Prioritize revealing these.
- Use empty columns. Empty tableau columns can accept any card. Use them strategically.
- Earn Retro Coins. Score points by placing cards on foundations. More points mean more Retro Coins.
